Interesting about "virtue signaling" .. interestingly, when the pandemic was in full swing with no vaccines and masks were defacto required everywhere, these folks now accuing us of "Viftue signaling" were often adamantly refusing to wear masks while wearing their very find red hats - they were super invested in their own "virtue signaling" or "tribal signaling" of rebellion to basic public health measures.

They couched it terms of calling COVID a hoax or a liberal plot to take away their FREEDUMZ!!! or some of the crazier stuff but yes indeed the permiating attitude and signaling was "Your health is not my problem/responsiblity" -they show the very epitome of wanting to have all the benefits of being part of a modern society without any responsibility to contribute to it - - they made up and listened to insane consipracy theories and claims

But it all came down to "fuck your health" as you say.

I for one, feel the CDC made a HUGE error - yes they have the science right - people who are vaccinated are not at high risk for getting COVID and likely are not a huge risk for spreading it and could safely not wear masks.. but they missed the social science: that the anti vax/anti mask folks will just keep not doing either and if pushed they can now hode behind "screw you, CDC says vaccinated people don't ahve to show masks and no I won't prove I'm vaccinated because THAT WOULD BE SOSHULIZM!!"

Thes pandemic has cemented my opinion from the last 4 or so years: that fully 1/3 of Americans are utterly deplorable, selfish, and willfully ignorant.
